William Brodnax Banister Indian Wars Campaign Medal No. 161

As the recent underbidder of this medal on eBay, I post this hoping the purchaser is a fellow member of the forum.  I've accumulated some fascinating research on Banister, including photographic portraits and a remarkable 18 page monograph of his military career (written by the subject) from the Army Medical Library, which I am more than happy to share.
