Jean-Loup Posted June 17, 2023 Share #1 Posted June 17, 2023 US soldier James Freeman brought this watch back from the war in Germany after being wounded in 1945, and I was happy recently to have helped his son get back in touch with the German family so that he could send it to them. No telling if he actually traded the watch for food or favors while a prisoner of war. maybe he won it in a poker game from another GI. But it traveled around the world twice to be back with the family. Its too bad the veteran wasn't around to tell the rest of the story.
