I am a flight helmet collector, but I couldn't pass up this deal that I stumbled upon at my local antique shop. The deals are still out there. Enjoy.

I'd of paid $74 all day long for that helmet. Nice grab... and it is ok to step out of your comfort zone every once in a while. I did once and now M1917's are my focus.

I have since found that the exterior of the helmet is hand scribed with a knife tip "Devil Dog" and "Belleau Wood". My sharp eyed militaria collector buddy spotted it quickly under good lighting. Prior to that, it just looked like wear and tear scratches to me. I now presume that this is a WW1 era USMC helmet. My Jarhead buddies are foaming at the mouth.
