Great shotgun, rig, and all around display. Thanks for posting it. 

 

The shotgun pouches, and the ammo, have become quite difficult to ever stumble on anymore, the shotgun of course being in the same boat, 

 

How long did it take you to find and gather it all?

I'd say about 10 years or so..the shells I got here and there at gun shows..thank you

Can not recall ever seeing a bayonet on the right hip though and with ring to the rear.

These scabbards do not have the locking latch like the 1903 16" bayonets scabbards...so not really a big deal .. ring needs to clear ammo pouch so it has to go that way.  Thx

I sure do like your post.  Nice gear collection and some are pretty hard to locate now.  I was simply referring to the “prescribed” or “FM” layout of where the bayonet was typically worn (left side) which is just what I see many use for displays unless they have a photo they are recreating point by point. For a display yours looks fantastic.
