Engraved WW1 USN Dog Tag

Here's a nicely engraved dog tag that includes what looks like a submarine. All I have found on him is that he served in the US Navy from 3/25/18 - 8/30/19 and was a Hospital Apprentice 2nd class.

So far I haven't found any connection to submarines. Any additional info on him would be appreciated. The bronze grave plaque photo came from his Find A Grave page.

Nice.  Any plans to have his service record pulled?  That’s the only way to tell if there’s a real submarine connection.
