Ruckup Posted Thursday at 03:45 AM Share #1 Posted Thursday at 03:45 AM Came into this small WWII German Medal Horde at the bottom of a box of personal affects of a family friend that past. Her father was in the 82nd Airborne and Jumped in Normandy and Market Garden. I’m no medal expert but have been told they are all fake, “ post war the family travelled the world and collected EVERYTHING “. Fake or Real I’m keeping them and displaying with His helmet. CIB is real. Enjoy

The 2 campaign shields also appear to be post war.
Kurt Barickman Posted Thursday at 12:52 PM Share #3 Posted Thursday at 12:52 PM Yes unfortunately all the German items are reproductions. Kurt

manayunkman Posted Thursday at 03:05 PM Share #10 Posted Thursday at 03:05 PM If you look at the two pin posts you see that they have a small round area, where they are affixed to the badge, making them look like a nail. In WW2 these posts were soldered on without that round platform.

All CIB clutch backs "war-time" or "post-war" have the small head on the clutch pin. I dont know who started that myth but perhaps someone who had poor eyesight. In some examples the solder does cover the head....but its there. If you have an example of a CIB clutch back with no head on the pin please post.
