prmccoy Posted May 24, 2023 #1 Posted May 24, 2023 Pulling the service record of a US Naval Reserve officer of WW2, he was discharged honorably of active duty in 1946. He served on a DD in The Pacific. He was awarded two campaign medals and victory medal. 1 campaign bronze on his Pacific medal. He was discharged honorably. The button he was issued was the red white and blue with the eagle. There are two others, one being the ruptured duck. Was their a certain criteria for what veteran got what button issued? What it a time period of active duty criteria? This officer served from 42-46, commissioned in 44. Left active duty as Ensign, retired LTJG. Much obliged.
