Yes, when serving at the Front, he would be awarded Order of Saint Stanislaus 3rd Class with Swords and the Cross of St. George. He later Joined up with the U.S. Army after the overthrow of the Czar, stayed in, was assigned to the Air Corps in the 20s we would suppose, In WWII an innovator in Bomber Crew welfare, and later became a General and thee first Surgeon General of the U.S. Air Force. patches Posted August 13 Author Share #5 Posted August 13 You know I was thinking how he was very lucky to have been able to get discharged as the Provisional Government under Kerensky took over, seeing that Russia remained in the war, and the Army and Navy remained intact for future operations, but we guess he got released now that America was in the war now, and was given some kind of preference to do so, probably political via the U.S. Embassy or something. On the other hand, had Grow remained and continued to serve in the Provisional Russian Army it would of been very difficult to get out after the Reds became the new government, here he would probably have had to go White and tag along with the other ones who wanted out, you know like going to China or Persia etc. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
