All,

Getting settled into 25th Regiment on I&I duty and some of my collateral duties involve being the unit's resident history nerd, as well as managing the information function. One of the things we want to do is play to our history in our social media accounts and website.

I don't like relying on what I call "cover art", aka famous photos that are oversaturated. Those who know me know I like little known facts, rarely seen images, and unknown factoids.

If anyone has any images in their collections, letters, documents, facts, etc that they would be willing to share and possibly allow us to share, please reach out to discuss.

4th Marine Division WWII; Roi-Manur, Saipan, Tinian and Iwo: four majors and two PUCS. Great regiment. I have a great set of white officers for an officer for all four majors and Silver Star on Iwo but long gone and he was in on the torpedo bunker explosion on Roi-Namur. Sorry but don't have any other data. Good luck Gyrene.
