Sheath Identification

Sorry for what is hopefully an easy identification but I am not sure what this leather sheath is for.  What knife would have came with this?

While it will serve for right or left handed carry of a single edged knife, it is also the common shape for a double edge blade.  The pocket that the blade sits in is often about an inch, 25mm longer than the actual blade, but that's not set in stone.  It doesn't remind me of one I associate with a particular knife type.  Maybe someone else here will be familiar with it.

I think these are generic as Ive seen several different knives In this sheath over the years . However , I have personally purchased 2 WWII era John Ek Hamden knives that came In this sheath and they fit real well .
