BEAST Posted April 11 Share #1 Posted April 11 A few months ago, I went to an estate sale of Civil War reenactor. Found a few good items, but picked a box of misc parts, including this bullet mold marked “Colt’s Patent.” I’m not sure if it is original or not as it only has the “Colt’s Patent “ stamp. Also were several pieces I don’t recognize and would appreciate any thoughts on what they really are. Thanks in advance!

FlyNavy02 Posted April 12 Share #5 Posted April 12 Nice mold. Possible identifications: 1. Tack/nail remover 2. Perhaps a part of a woodworking tool, a small block plane cutter? Have you googled what is stamped on it? 3. Corn husker 4. Wedge, perhaps for a farm implement Sorry, don't recognize the others. Good luck
triplecanopy Posted April 13 Share #6 Posted April 13 Your bullet mold may be for a 31. Caliber Colt Model 1849 "Pocket Pistol". I have an identical mold myself and it only has the "Colt's Patent" as any identifying markings. The mold was made to cast a round ball and a conical bullet. Nice find. I googled around and it appears that this is the mold for the "Pocket Pistol." Thank you for your help!
