Hi, I am looking for information on what this chest was used for, CH-250.  It has a nice brass (?) Plaque, is large, and is pretty darn heavy duty.  Wood with metal corners, metal handles.  Gray inside with gray felt seal for the lid.

I am thinking of lugging it to a military show here in MI and would like to learn about it first.  It's big, like being a dolly big.

I couldn't find any hits online.

Looks like that should read American Moninger.  They were a greenhouse manufacturer in Brooklyn.

I am guessing this is WWII, but maybe it's from WWI?

SGM (ret.)

According to Radio Nerds, the CH-250 chest was used to transport some sort of Xformer.

"CH-250 Xformer Transit Chest"

Hopefully enough of a clue to lead you to the answer!
