FriscoHare Posted March 10, 2009 Share #1 Posted March 10, 2009 Hi Everyone, Stemming off of pchepurko's topic in the SSI section, I wanted to start a topic on how to date Army chevrons, especially early and mid-20th Century ones. I tried to research how to date them on other websites but they seemed incomplete. I don't know much about chevrons and I think it would help beginners like me and others. Lee Ragan Posted March 10, 2009 Share #2 Posted March 10, 2009 Emerson's book, "Chevrons", takes all the guess work out of it, at least for Army chevrons. John Stacy's book on Navy rating badges does the same for those. Now for USAF and USMC, it does take some research, but there are sites to help out on those. Also, we've had plenty of threads on this forum to answer just about all the questions. Maybe just a complete listing of those threads would do the trick.
