collectsmedals Posted April 6, 2023 #2 Posted April 6, 2023 The one on the top right is for the Fleet Marine Corps Reserve medal.
collectsmedals Posted April 6, 2023 #3 Posted April 6, 2023 Looking closer I may be mistaken as the second stripe in from the outside edges of the ribbon appear to be yellow not white.
Salvage Sailor Posted April 6, 2023 #5 Posted April 6, 2023 If you turn it around, the first one could be the 1/2" Navy & Marine Corps ribbon but the dimensions are off. The colors are right, Blue-Yellow-Red, but they should be equal (i.e. all same same, not short and long)
Wharfmaster Posted April 7, 2023 #6 Posted April 7, 2023 Blue, yellow & red is probably Navy Presidential Unit Citation ribbon mounted in the vertical. W

No, it’s white alright. You called it, Fleet Marine Corps Reserve Ribbon! Any idea what era?

doyler Posted April 7, 2023 #9 Posted April 7, 2023 bars look WW2 era being 1/2 in type and the backing plates are typical of WW2 era ribbons.

Wharfmaster Posted April 8, 2023 #11 Posted April 8, 2023 3 hours ago, Salvage Sailor said: That's as crazy as what I postulated The Navy Presidential Unit Citation ribbon was woven vertically but worn properly in the horizontal. Much of the red and blue color does not show when the ribbon is mounted horizontally. You can see an example in The Call Of Duty. Look close and you can see the grain of the ribbon, it is sideways. W
R Leonard Posted April 8, 2023 #12 Posted April 8, 2023 Properly worn with the weave vertical such as this one or, more pedestrian, good old wiki https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Presidential_Unit_Citation_(United_States)
R Leonard Posted April 15, 2023 #13 Posted April 15, 2023 And the Blue-Yellow-Red in the top left position in the OP is the Navy and Marine Corps Medal https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Navy_and_Marine_Corps_Medal, and not a sideways Presidential Unit Citation

R Leonard Posted April 15, 2023 #15 Posted April 15, 2023 I hear you, but the blue/gold/yellow combination is the only one like that. Look again on how mounted on the medal bar on the blouse in the next message.
