Hi all,

Need some help to identify this patch.  Looks Asian made, 4-inches in diameter and has been sewn to something.

Thanks

We would say it's Korean Made as the 4th Squadron 7th Cavalry was the Recon elmt of the 2nd Infantry Division and was in South Korea from July 1965 on. In a Recon unit like this, in an Infantry Division, it will be in the main a Ground Recon unit with Tanks and Armored Personnel Carriers, A, B, C, Troops, Ground, it was the Squadron's D Troop that was the Squadron's Air Cavalry Troop, this is where this Pocket Patch was worn. Patch itself probably dates from the late 60s into the early 70s.

I think that makes sense.  I believe I saw this one in use in Korea in 1972-3.  Probably at one of the northern air fields.
