Pre-World War 1 Swordsmans Badge -  ( a very good Reproduction )

 

As any collector of military history knows what this badge represents and how few were ever earned (less than 100+/-) by the pre-WWI Cavalry troops by scoring higher than their fellow troops on Pattons' horseman / swordsman riding competition course then to aquire a genuine "original period" Swordsmans Badge is close to impossible - and if you were so lucky to find a genuine example it would be available in the range of $2000.oo $3000.oo -

 

Even the reproductions are difficult to find...

 

Please carefully read General (then a 2nd Lieutenant) Pattons requirements for the difficulty in scoring the proper amount of points riding horseback while using their saber to attain the requirements to earn this scarce and desireable badge -
