G-1 Flight Jacket Issue

Does it bother anyone else that big Navy has decided to start issuing G-1 leather jackets to drone "pilots"?

Doesn't bother me. Air Force Missile Combat Crews are now authorized to wear the A-2, CWU-45/P and -36/P. And they aren't even pilots in any sense of the word, unless they previously held the rating before going into the missile business.

I know many people wear exact replica military jackets and some even wear originals. Many of those are not nor ever were members of the military.

just my observation from NAS Sigonella, anyone that wanted a G-1 was issued one....so having drone pilots get a G-1 is fine in my book

They are taking out the bad guys so yes, give them a jacket and medals too.
