I have a whole matching set of Ira Green minis that look like they were converted from double to single and I'm curious. First picture is how they came with 224 Engineers DUI. Second is the backs.

The fact that these were modified to single leads me to the conclusion that they were probably modified to be worn as a tie tack or possibly to be worn on the lapel of a sport coat or on a cap. They are meant to be worn with mess dress. Allan
