First, yes I know this is a U.S. only forum.....but it came with the group. I waited 2.25 hours for the sale to open in low 30s weather. It was well worth the cold wait.

WOW some great items, what a treasure.

I know about sales and how the waiting period can be, so congratulations on this acquisition.

Does the gas mask still have the small rubber bladder?

That looks well worth the wait!  Congratualtions -- great stuff.  Some of it looks like it could be identified to specific soldiers.

.

Congratulations a fabulous pick-up and all relative items.

My desire though would be the cavalry canteen cover, canteen & cup, a passion of mine within my collecting habit, wonderful clean appearance on all three pieces.

Helmet insignia is for 6th Division, not Army.

Can I blame that on spell check?

@manayunkman , no balloon:

@General Apathy, I have a mint

ww2 hanger too, trying to find a inexpensive mint 3pc to complete that set.

@berthmadals, yes, if I have time.

Thank you for the kind words.

Most 6th division helmets have that brown paint and are British made.  Nice example! As a fellow estate sale picker, I know how cold that morning wait was!
