RobinJC Posted February 17, 2023 #1 Posted February 17, 2023 Hello, while going through my father’s belongings I found this book from 1918. My father served in the Navy but he wasn’t yet born so I am assuming it must have belonged to his mother. I almost threw it away but the binding caught me eye so I read it. I was told this is a great piece of history and I should share it. This site was recommended to me to do just that.
patches Posted February 23, 2023 #2 Posted February 23, 2023 Speaking of Brooks Field here is one of the experimental parachute drops, I think the one in 1928 when three soldiers jumped with Machine Guns.
benguttery Posted November 25, 2023 #3 Posted November 25, 2023 This is a wonderful book that was printed locally by a San Antonio publisher who made some other similar publications such as the one for Camp John Wise. I think most of these were thrown away. It is circa 1919. A fine item that I'd be pleased to try to talk you out of. Thanks. Ben
