Two post war German made glass ribbons. Made by Otto Lachmann in Bremerhaven, Friesen Str. 30. 

 

Can one assume that Ges. Gesch is the manufacturer or is that some sort of hallmark?

Patent pending, registered or protected by law.

Ges is short for Geselschaft which means Company.

Why it is mentioned almost twice I don't know.

Manayunkman is spot-on: "Ges. Gesch." is for "Gesetzlich Geschützt" (protected by law).
