The first is of an army soldier on a patrol without a ruck in 1968, and the other is one of my personal favorites, a marine in Hue city. All original gear with the exception of the gun. Now find some private land in summer time to go sweat them out, take a 5 mile hike through terrain and at least one waist level creek, a touch of mud, a night sleeping outside with no camping gear (maybe a poncho), and it'll be spot on.
