Is the U.S. Army  "Spanish Campaign Medal" traceable? I just checked out the JOMSA site, and saw roles for the "Spanish war Service Medal" but not the earlier Spanish Campaign Medal. Am I missing something? At any rate, I'd love some help with tracing a medal; it's "No. 7248"

I have a copy of the Army Spanish Campaign Issue Records Compiled and Edited by Douglas D. Scott, Thomas D. Thiessen, and Colonel Albert F. Gleim (1991). Planchet Press Publication 52 Planchet Research Group P.O. Box 407 Madison, VA 22727 (February 2003)

This publication shows U.S. Army Spanish Campaign Medal No. 7248 as being issued on October 1, 1915 to Victor A. Harris Mt. Vernon, NY.

Sorry, the correct title is Army Spanish Campaign Medal Issue Records. I left out the word medal.

I didn't realize there was a publication that listed these medals. I'll google it and see if there are any for sale. Thanks for taking the time to look this one up for me! Much appreciated!

If I was you I would not worry about chasing books.

Here is the website for the rolls:

After you have the name go here:

https://catalog.archives.gov/search-within/601682 - This is where you can find all of the soldiers Army Campaign Issue Cards.

Bill,

A great resource for collectors. Thank you, I did not know they were available online.
