Chris Posted January 9, 2023 Share #1 Posted January 9, 2023 I found this at an estate with a set of 1942 (tetanus) dated next of kin tags. The tags belonged to "Jack Hacksma" of Sandy, Oregon. The estate was a family member of Jack's So, I am assuming Jack brought this home, but can't be sure. It is a very early, scarce HJ knife. This type has no ricasso. The blade inscription was discontinued on later models. The early (pre RZM) maker mark is Robert Herder's. It features the early grip-plate pattern, and a nice enamel diamond.
