BANGMilitaria Posted January 7, 2023 #1 Posted January 7, 2023 This is a ribbon bar belonging to an 88th ID (350th regiment) veteran. It doesn’t appear that he served with any other unit in combat. As far as I’ve read, I don’t believe the 88th partook in any amphibious landings. Has anyone else seen a ribbon bar to an 88th vet with an arrowhead?
Skysoldier80 Posted January 7, 2023 #2 Posted January 7, 2023 There is also America Campaign ribbon also missing; I don’t know about the 88th and assault credit, however, I would leave it alone like the veteran had it.
Jtski Posted January 8, 2023 #3 Posted January 8, 2023 The Division appears to have made multiple river crossings in the Italian theatre, it would be interesting to find out if assault credit was officially authorized. It would seem to fit an amphibious assault in my mind. Jeff

No good conduct medal ribbon either. Not the first time I have seen ribbons excluded for one reason or another.
