TLeo Posted December 31, 2022 Share #1 Posted December 31, 2022 The Raleigh Military Collectors Show is this weekend and has nice crowd today with plenty of dealers, so head out there if you can. I came home with the only patch that was of interest to me and happy to get this WW2 example from VMF-322 Fighting Cocks. Still has some thread from being sewn on and it is in great condition with no damage. The only small downside is the dirt so I'm wondering what some opinions are.....should I try to clean it up a bit using woolite since it is embroidered on wool or would most just leave as is? CUBUSMC Posted January 9, 2023 Share #2 Posted January 9, 2023 Personally I would leave it as is. It obviously came off a jacket and I think it looks great considering. Plus it is on wool, which I would not want to get wet. Just my thoughts. Semper Fi - Jeff
mdk0911 Posted January 9, 2023 Share #3 Posted January 9, 2023 very nice patch - I would leave as is - the patina gives it character!
KurtA Posted February 10, 2023 Share #4 Posted February 10, 2023 Agree. Would not trust a cleaning agent on that
doyler Posted February 10, 2023 Share #5 Posted February 10, 2023 As Cub said. I would also leave it as is being it was removed from a jacket and shows the honest wear.

That is just what I decided to do...leave it as.
