Justin Posted September 19, 2023 Share #4 Posted September 19, 2023 Really cool shots, I've only seen one example with the exposed zipper in the Marine Corps museum. Anyone out there in forum land own an example?

Anyone out there in forum land own an example? That's the only extant example I'm aware of as well. It belonged to Cpl Robert L. Cameron of Morris, Illinois, Delta 2/5 Marines. This 3 September 1952 US Navy photo shows him wearing the vest while being examined by US Navy Surgeon General Rear Admiral Lamont Pugh. Reportedly it was caused by rifle fire, although were that that the case it would probably have to be either a ricochet or a shot from extreme range.
