VMF311 variation on Ebay

This patch was just sold on Ebay and is a variation of the usual version offered for sale and thought the forum would like to see. Thanks to Rick for showing this variation in his pinned post of the Marine squadrons ;otherwise I would not been aware of its existence.

Saw this one on eBay as well, not a fan. For $93 think someone is going to be pretty unhappy when they get it in hand.

Wake you were 100% correct and thanks for the help. My error in not seeing what you showed as copy, and was exactly what I recieved in the mail today, which will be returned. This was pretty good fake  and only reaction with blacklight was the white line outlining the wing. Nothing on back glowed,which is pretty scary. Also for sale was VMR352 with same result in that the white reacted to blacklight. Thanks again for the help.

No problem, glad to be of some help. The materials they are using on these fakes is getting better.

Those long white threads on the reverse wing are always a red flag for me.

 

And if a patch on EBay is photographed on a map, it’s fake.  (Same thing with a camo background).
