colt38super Posted December 5, 2022 #1 Posted December 5, 2022 Friend sent me this photo of a grenade. I've never seen one like it. Anyone know what era or country?? Thanks in advance David
Kaptainssurplus Posted December 5, 2022 #2 Posted December 5, 2022 Prewar US MK2 with foreign modern pressure switch. They originally would not be used together.
colt38super Posted December 5, 2022 Author #3 Posted December 5, 2022 what would it be worth, The friend wanted to know what I would pay for it??
Kaptainssurplus Posted December 6, 2022 #4 Posted December 6, 2022 With just the one photo to go off, its rough condition, not sure if the bottom has the plug or not, nor if the fuze well threads are still good, looks like they put a sleeve to get the modern pressure switch to thread. Its a mismatched piece in rough condition with unknowns, personally I wouldn't pay over $65 for it. Its nothing special nor rare either, not trying to hate but that's the reality of it.
Inertord Posted December 6, 2022 #6 Posted December 6, 2022 Your photo shows a United States M1 Combination Firing Device fitted to a U.S. MK2 Grenade Body
