RANDALL 1953 Posted December 3, 2022 Share #1 Posted December 3, 2022 My Dad was a Sgt. in a US Army Combat Engineer Battalion in the Eto. D Day, Battle Of The Bulge, Luxembourg, Germany Austria. He brought back this silver panzer assault badge and an eastern front winter medal which I no longer have. The maker mark on the back looks like a AS in a triangle. JosephC Posted December 4, 2022 Share #7 Posted December 4, 2022 Can you post a picture of the back of badge showing pin, hinge and clasp as well as any maker marks thanks. Great to see an example of a real badge known to have been brought home by serviceman.

Proud Kraut Posted January 3, 2023 Share #9 Posted January 3, 2023 Maker is Adolf Scholze, Gablonz.
RANDALL 1953 Posted January 5, 2023 Author Share #10 Posted January 5, 2023 I think that this maker is unknown. The ruptured duck website has a bronze panzer assault badge stating that the marking on this badge was made by Adolf Scholze.
manayunkman Posted January 5, 2023 Share #11 Posted January 5, 2023 Scholze used the ball hinge on his badges. This one is textbook AS.
