M1911 Montana peak campaign cover chord identification

Bought this a few months ago I know it’s post 1920 since it doesn’t have 5 stitch lines on the edge of the brim but I’m looking for info on what kind of chord it’s bearing

i believe that the cord is for the Signal Corps.

I think its Signal Corps too. Somewhere on the forum is a good thread on hat cords.

signal color would be orange. it has just aged to where it looks yellow on this cord.  if it really was yellow for cavalry it would be solid yellow.
