Plastic EGA"s

Hello

 

I picked up a  small group that included these EGA"s.  Most are metal, but two are plastic.  Are all of these WW2 era?  The large plastic EGA is maker marked.  I have included a picture.

Yes, they all appear to be WW2 era EGAs.

The "Bakelite" (plastic) EGAs were only manufactured during 1943.

These are actually tenite, not bakelite.

 

And as to the OP's comment about maker marks...these were actually mold marks, indicating their placement in the mold. Collar emblems can have mold marks 1-12, and cover emblems 1-4. When it comes to cover emblems, 3 seems to be the toughest to find, and I have seen a few with flaws...my guess is that the 3-spot on the mold had issues and that most emblems didn't make it past quality checks.
