Opinions on XVIII Airborne helmet shell ?

I've had this forever, and have a friend who is interested in it.  But, I have no idea as to what it's value is, or if it's even that rare of a helmet.....any thoughts or feedback would be appreciated, thanks, Chris...

Here's pics of the chinstraps, liner isn't correct to the helmet, I put them together, but the WW2 liner has a separate history, actually had it when I was a kid back around 1980....

Looks like a late WWII factory produced M1C,  a front seam at that. Plus, it's named and that serial number pre-dates Korea. I'd say it's fairly uncommon and therefore rather valuable.
