Hi all,

Picked up this officer sword recently.   I’m more of a Wwii collector but it intrigued me being named.   Not sure if the first letter is a T or J and no idea what the second letter is.   Anybody have an ideas and now to research this officer?   Thanks.

Beautiful sword!
Here's a T.A. Hall listed in the Register of the commissioned and warrant
officers of the United States Navy and Marine Corps and reserve officers on active duty 1863-1864.

He was on the USS Brandywine (formerly named Susquehanna). Quite an historic ship!
