Civil War Portrait of Edwin Jemison

I recently ordered a book about Pvt. Edwin Jemison, which prompted me to research what if any family relationship we have, given that we share a common last name.  For years, I’ve had a copy of a genealogy study that was put together in the 1960’s by a distant relative Grace Jemison, from Talladega, Al., along with some other information my brother and I have collected over the years.  In spending a couple of hours following the family trees, it turns out, that my GGGG Grand Father (Robert Jemison) and Edwin’s G Grand Father, were the same.  I’m traveling to NC this coming week, on the way back, I think I’ll come through Milledgeville, Ga., and pay my respects, to what I think is my 4th cousin.
