What might these be? They’re obviously not WWII era.

What has me curious us that they’re apparently 2 3/4” wide, and replicas/fakes are usually 2 5/8”. They’re not new, definitely aren’t original, and aren’t marked and don’t have clutches.  The seller doesn’t know anything about them, and they’re under $150, shipped.  The seller’s description is, in it’s entirety, “Vintage WWII WASP Wings Women's Air Service Pilot Flight Wings 2 3/4" wide” This isn’t ebay, and there are no refunds.  Thoughts?

they look casted to my eyes

That’s what I thought, though the cast ones I’ve seen have all come in at or under 2 5/8”.  The length being a full 2 3/4” is what’s throwing me off.

They are post-war copies. Nothing issue. Nothing official.

Okay. Do maybe strainless copies or something capable of a bit of pitting?   I wasn’t sure if there was an event of some sort at sometime where unmarked pins were used. I’ll pass on these. Just unusual for them to be full size. Even cheap cast ones I’ve come by are usually smaller.

i am just showing you wheat I found it seems to fit

I was just asking if there’s another version I didn’t know about.  There sometimes are, like the reunion wings accepted as official.

No. There is only one official lozenge graduation wing that is full sized issued during the war. There is also a reunion wing made in 1974 by Jostens (now Jostens vs. Josten) from the official dies which the WASP organization maintained. They are the same and size and detailed on the front as the issue wings but they are a different pebbled finish on the back and with longer nail head pins. They are also clearly marked with the 70s Jostens maker mark of a stylized J in a diamond followed by STERLING 74. There is correspondence between the WASP org and Jostens about making this wing. But that was it.

Comparing those to the other pin, there are quite a few differences. I wonder what that other pin is, but the seller won’t respond to questions.  Just an odd pin.
