Hi,

This is my second post on this forum. I'm a French modeler and my main interest is for the US armor from 1917 to 1945.

Here is the last one : the British MkV as used in 1918 by the 301st Heavy tank Bn.

Here are some photos of the model and you invited to see more in my site at http://manu-military.e-monsite.com

Thanks for looking and your comments.

awesome! love the weathering. What kit is this? or did you scratchbuild? very cool thumbsup.gif

Thanks for your comments. Actually, the model is the Verlinden MkIV.

Since I'm only interested in US armor and since the US didn't use the MkIV in operations, I had to scratchbuild the conversion.

The kit is in resin and I created all the specific MkV parts in plastic, aluminium rod for the exhaust, wood for the mg balls, etc.

You may like to find much more about the construction in my site at http://manu-military.e-monsite.com

Cheers from Normandy!

Very nicely done! Can I ask what scale this is? Did you detail the interior at all like your Renault FT?

Thanks Mark.

All my models you can see at http://manu-military.e-monsite.com are in 1/16 scale.

The Renault FT is the only one having a partial interior. In fact, only the combat room is detailed, there is no engine compartment.

The MkV is not detailed inside. The kit didn't provide anything to do so and I just can't imagine building the interior from scratch !

If i didnt know that it was in the modelling section, i would have thought it was real. That thing looks amazing! Great work!
