Helmet for review

Hello

I recieved this helmet from a friend.

It is a SB front seam, brass buckle /chinstrap helmet.  (I cannot make out a maker heat lot number).  It is in very good original condition.  it has a late war brass A washer Westinghouse liner #24.  It has it's original nape and sweatband, that are both maker marked.  The liner suspension Has a W printed on it (LW??) .  The exterior  is painted white with a Black MP on the front of the liner and black horisontal bars on the side and a black verticle bar on the rear.  The stains on the helmet and liner match.  The paint on the liner shows age discoloration and flaking. How does this set look?  Does the liner look proper for it''s vintage?

Thank you

Looks like a great M1 setup mate. Steel Pot looks like a nice untouched WWII helmet. Regarding the MP painted liner looks a bit more modern to me in condition and style. The innards undoubtably WWII vintage. I am unfamiliar with the black follow me stripe on the back as well. Nice helm!

I think the liner and pot have been together for a long time.

You can see the matching rust stain on the white paint.

This process takes a very long time.
