mohawkALSE Posted October 24, 2022 Share #2 Posted October 24, 2022 SV-1, SV-2, SV-2A, depends on time frame of what you would be trying to depict.

mohawkALSE Posted October 24, 2022 Share #5 Posted October 24, 2022 That is def an SV-2 series vest, but that LC-1 suspenders are not correct or for it, not sure why they are there. Looks like some of the straps might be cut off on that SV-2 vest. That is also a SV-2 that was setup for non ejection seat aircraft. Has the chest strap/extraction belt installed which was used for helicopter crews and non ejection seat fixed wing aircraft.
RWW Posted October 24, 2022 Share #6 Posted October 24, 2022 I agree with Tom. The suspenders are not part of the vest, and it looks like the shoulder straps have been cut off. If you are looking for a mid to late 1960's Nam era time frame, you may want to consider an SV-1 vest.

RWW Posted October 24, 2022 Share #10 Posted October 24, 2022 That appears to be an OD colored SV-2A vest. The OD vests were a Marine Corps item in Vietnam, not Navy. The Navy used a sage green vest. That is a vest that would have been used in an aircraft with an ejection seat.

I swear some of the 70 dated OD ones Ive seen were all OD except the LPU belt was that mix color.
RWW Posted October 24, 2022 Share #12 Posted October 24, 2022 That is why I worded that like I did. I am not sure how much is different colors and how much is lighting???
