Ben@HI Posted October 19, 2022 Share #1 Posted October 19, 2022 Unfortunately I don't have a lot of 1911's anymore. Sold most of them off back in 2011. Out of the couple I kept this is the only one that's WW2 era and could have been used during the war. It's a Colt commercial national match. according to the serial number it was made in 1941 and I know a lot of the commercial 1911's made just before the war started for us ended up being bought and used by service members. While I can't prove that was the case for this one I know the barrel is a WW2 GI barrel and the pistol it's self has seen a lot of rough use. So I like to think it saw service but I can't prove that. Anyway it's a good enough example until I find another USGI 1911 or 1911A1 and it still shoots well. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
