MinorInHistory Posted October 18, 2022 #1 Posted October 18, 2022 Hello everyone, My friends and I started a WWII living history group to do some of the events in the Northern/Central Virginia area. The group is meant to be by young people for young people (spoiler alert, the name may be playing off the same pun as my forum name). We recognize that a considerable percentage of US soldiers during WWII were around their late teens, and we seek to represent that within reenacting, while at the same time helping young people get started in the hobby. If you know any young folks in the NoVa area looking for a group, feel free to point them our way, and check out our Facebook page and website! https://www.facebook.com/groups/533531195256134/ https://sites.google.com/view/minors-in-history/

willysmb44 Posted October 24, 2023 #6 Posted October 24, 2023 Great idea but what happens when members are no longer teens?

Well I and about half our people turned 18 this summer, so now we’re just “in history!” In all seriousness we keep doing events just under no official name. Folks are still welcome to join us, we’ll probably “rebrand” at some point.
Airborne_bro1944 Posted May 12, 2024 #8 Posted May 12, 2024 Wait, how do you guys fire weapons when you guys are around my age? Are there different gun laws in Virginia. New to the forums btw
