Thrifter_01 Posted October 17, 2022 Share #1 Posted October 17, 2022 Great find to end the week off on. Only parts that it seems to be missing is the hook end of the chinstrap, and the remains of a leather chinstrap. Both the helmet and liner are WW2 era. The chinstrap has green hardware, which were probably added around the Korean war era. The liner is manufactured by Westinghouse, but damaged over the years by the headband. A lot of the original corking is still present as well as the paint. The heat stamp is "402A", which I believe originally was a FB, that was later converted to swivel due to the presence of a dimple above the hinge. Very happy to add this to the collection. HoovieDude Posted October 23, 2022 Share #5 Posted October 23, 2022 Great find! Love the original OD hardware on the chin straps. They don’t seem to be as common as the later black.
