RCH Posted October 16, 2022 Share #1 Posted October 16, 2022 I'm curious if anyone can shed any light on a question I have about mobile/portable lighting units/systems that might have been used during WWII and through the early-'60s. I can only imagine that there were things like the venerable PE-95 generator units that powered incandescent (or even mercury vapor) lights on poles or towers, in a similar manner to the portable LED light tower carts that we see today (as in the photos below). However, I have never seen such a thing, nor have I been able to find any specific information. Can anyone enlighten me?
phantomfixer Posted October 17, 2022 Share #2 Posted October 17, 2022 The NF-2 light cart is a light that extends via scissors, has a generator also...I don't know the exact time in service but was used in the 1960s until 1990s... https://www.nationalmuseum.af.mil/Visit/Museum-Exhibits/Fact-Sheets/Display/Article/198061/nf-2-floodlight-set/
