PattonM47 Posted October 13, 2022 Share #1 Posted October 13, 2022 what covers did the US army use on their helmets in Korea?
Nickman983 Posted October 13, 2022 Share #2 Posted October 13, 2022 Not sure if the army had specific covers in the Korean war but I believe the USMC used the same covers as WWII. Blue Anchor started manufacturing new frogskin covers in 1953 but I'm not sure those made it over seas in time for use before the end of the war. 12thengr Posted October 13, 2022 Share #4 Posted October 13, 2022 Some wore burlap covers, as seen in the movie "Pork Chop Hill". Most, going by Stanton's 'Uniforms of the U.S. Army in the Korean War', used nothing at all.
