Blacksmith Posted October 12, 2022 Share #3 Posted October 12, 2022 Please wait for confirmation on this, as I’d hate to have you stencil a piece wrong because of me, but I believe a PFC from HQ-2-25 would mark their jacket like this:

Blacksmith Posted October 12, 2022 Share #6 Posted October 12, 2022 I would make my own, using a file folder, compass, and use original stenciled gear as reference to shape the numbers and get the size right.

Blacksmith Posted October 13, 2022 Share #8 Posted October 13, 2022 And you don’t have to worry about it being perfect, as these were field-applied. As such, they are fairly inconsistent, with some even being completely hand-drawn. Please let me know if you’d like any help.

With all due respect to 268th C.A. washing it does not give it the proper saltiness. Wear it on weekends to do yard work in, go hiking in it and allow Mother Nature to do her work. Allow tthe sun, wind, rain, dirt and sweat to age it properly. Hang it outside on a clothesline. That will make your impression more realistic.
