Dock builder company at Candlewood lake CT had(had) a red painted LCVP at one time. apparently the ramp was useful in building boat docks from the water side

The comment section has a post says it was purchased as surplus to use to take people on excursions on the lake.

The article says it has been taken to a museum in Nebraska for restoration.

Used as Pattons HQ in Sicily.
