mikie Posted October 10, 2022 Share #1 Posted October 10, 2022 Just saw this article and thought I'd share. https://www.yahoo.com/news/emergence-ghost-boat-lake-shasta-191515550.html If it really was overseas, how the heck did it get in that lake? gwb123 Posted October 11, 2022 Share #2 Posted October 11, 2022 It would be interesting to see if it could be recovered.
Linedoggie Posted October 11, 2022 Share #3 Posted October 11, 2022 Dock builder company at Candlewood lake CT had(had) a red painted LCVP at one time. apparently the ramp was useful in building boat docks from the water side
The Rooster Posted October 11, 2022 Share #4 Posted October 11, 2022 The comment section has a post says it was purchased as surplus to use to take people on excursions on the lake. The article says it has been taken to a museum in Nebraska for restoration. Used as Pattons HQ in Sicily. Its all in the article and the comments section under the article.. Note worthy Landing craft for sure ! Belongs in a museum.
