A dog’s dogtag

Dogtag for “Grunt” with B Company, 56th Signal Battalion.  That battalion earned five campaign credits and an arrowhead for Normandy.  One wonders when Grunt was with them.  The tag itself is made from a British Half-Penny.

Adding to the thread for posterity, one in my collection NFS.  White Building 692 (a general stores warehouse) was torn down about 20 years ago to build a PX.
