Purple Hearts that are Numbered and ID'd/Attributed

I’ve decided to go down a rabbit hole that could be very deep or very shallow - tracking numbered Purple Hearts that are ID’d or attributed. Medals can be named or unnamed; from WW2, Korea, or Vietnam; KIA or WIA. If it is an unnamed Purple Heart, was it part of a medal/document grouping that provides that attribution?

My list of numbered Purple Hearts has some very large gaps in the numbers. I'm hoping to nail down where medals in those gaps were/are. Particularly those awarded stateside during the war from the QM Department and/or hospitals.
