Kabar and Sword Knife

Here are a couple of knives from the Veterans estate in Littlefield, TX.  Both sheaths are stenciled with his name.

The first is a mint Kabar only marked on one side of the riccasso.  The second is a sword knife with what looks to be an unfinished aluminum handle.  I would assume the original wooden handle was removed.  I am not sure if the nut is original.

I'm a knife junkie so I like them both.  Many here (not me) could doctor up a nice grip for the sword knife. That sword blade is too dear to leave unimproved. I'd love to see a couple of pics of the engraving on that blade.
