I don't see a place for wheeled vehicles, so I hope this is the place for this post. I'm considering buying an M37 at auction, but it appears the rear-end is locked up. I suspect the hand brake. Does the hand brake work with the rear drums or a drum on the transfer case?

Thanks

My educated guess would say that the park brake is located on the output of the transfer case. I just googled “M37 parkbrake diagram” and these looked good.

I did 9 years as Vehicle Maintenance in the Air Force but M37’s we’re well phased out before I started. 😁

Hopefully this helps and good luck on the auction!

Hey thanks. Great information. I figured it was the hand brake. The auctioneer apparently has moved by lifting the rear-end with a forklift denting the gas tank. I'm like you even the M715 was on its way out when I was in.

Thanks again.
